Me, My MS and I

A Cuddle For Your Stick

I’ve been dreadfully neglectful by not writing any new posts for a while. I started Tysabri in July and have a couple of posts written on that which’ll appear soon. Service has returned to normal đŸ˜‰

I spotted a stick holder at the counter of a train station the other day which I’ve used in the past to hold my stick whilst I pay for my ticket, but forgot to take a picture of! I remembered the other day, as I wanted to add it to a blog post.

As usual, it’s the most simple inventions that are the best! I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve tried to balance my stick on my arm whilst fishing in my handbag for my purse, and usually grappling with other bags, too. It’s less than easy, and usually something is dropped. This stick holder solves that by holding your stick for you as you do what you need to do. It’s so handy, I wish more places had them. Only problem is remembering to take your stick back before you take a few steps and realise you’ve forgotten it!

    Hi Jenna

Just wanted to say I love your blog – very informative and although I myself haven’t actually got MS – I do have a long-standing brain stem lesion, and have spastic paraparesis – many of my symptoms do mirror MS – so I was really able to relate to your blog. Also, am 25 myself, and have just started my own blog: http://brainlesionandme.wordpress.com

Hi Jenna, it’s heartening to read your comments and dare i say it smile. I was diagnosed with rrms on the 1st Sept 2011, my father has ms too and it was when he was diagnosed 7 yrs ago I swore I would do a sponsored something to raise funds for ms. WELL, i finally got round to organising a sponsored walk the full length of Shetland. Myself, my sister and one of her pals actually did it and raised over £3000. So as you can imagine we are so proud to have achieved this. Ricky

    • Hi Ricky,

Many thanks for your message. Glad I could raise a smile! : ) Congratulations to you, your sister and her friend for raising that amazing amount of money, especially with what must’ve been a tough walk! Well done : )

      All the best,

      Jenna
